How To Use Woven Wrap Correctly

One of the key aspects of ergonomic babywearing is achieving a snug and comfortable fit.
Follow our guidelines to ensure the wrap is adjusted to support your baby’s hips and spine correctly.
We understand that visual learning is essential for many parents.

1. Step – Follow the tutorial

Tye the woven fabric in the same manner as shown in the steps below.
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) recommends baby’s hips be spread apart and flexed
with the thighs supported up to the knee joint,
 forming an “M“.
Remember to follow T.I.C.K.S for safe babywearing.

Front Cross Carry

  • Find the middle marker of your woven wrap

  • Fold the upper half of the fabric in front of your waist.

  • Bring the wrap around to your back.

  • Make sure you hold only the upper part of the fabric.

  • Cross your hands

  • Cross both ends on your back, without twisting the fabric.

  • Lift both ends and bring them to the front over your shoulders.

  • The wrap is crossed on your back without any twists.

  • The ends are hanging straight over your shoulders down.

  • Create a pouch. The pouch should be tight, but big enough to put your baby into.

  • Pick up your baby.

  • Take your baby’s feet and guide them through the pouch, letting your baby sit on the pouch with spread legs.

  • Pull the upper rail of the pouch while holding your baby with one hand.

  • Pull it over your baby’s back up to its ears. Make sure you hold one hand under the baby’s bum.

  • Make sure to keep holding your baby. Take the bottom rail and pull it up between you and your baby, creating a seat.

  • Hold one tail tight and secure it while still holding your baby.

  • Take the inner rail from the other tail. Tighten the inner rail by pulling in the direction as shown.

  • Tighten the middle part of the tail and tighten the outer rail. Repeat all steps with the second tail.

  • Your baby should be wrapped to your body firmly. Your baby is wrapped firm enough if you feel secure to lift both tails over your shoulder.

  • Bring both tails down. Cross tails under baby’s bum.

  • The cross will function as a security seat.

  • Pull the crossed tails under your baby’s legs around to your back.

  • Tie with a reef-knot.

  • Make sure your baby’s knees are higher than its bum. And Baby's head is close enough to kiss.
